IEEE RO-MAN'2003 、ロボットと人間のインタラクティブコミュニケーションに関する国際会議は、今年度は第１２回目として米国西海岸で開催されることになりました。会場はサンフランシスコ空港の近くのウェスティンホテル Westin San Francisco Airport Hotel　です。ここはスタンフォード大学 や先端技術を開発中のベンチャー企業などが集積している地域、いわゆるシリコンバレーにあります。関連する先端技術の招待講演や、ロボット手術装置開発などの先端企業  Intuitive Surgical Inc. 、 Immersion Corporation　または、研究所Palo Alto VA Rehabilitation R&D Center やスタンフォード大学への見学ツアーも企画しております。是非、ご参加をご検討下さい。日程はラスベガスで開催されますIROS Conference の直後となっており、バージニアで開催され IECON Conference の直前となっております。いずれの会議に参加を計画されている方もゲートウェイはサンフランシスコ空港と思われますので、このRO-MAN2003へは無理なくご参加可能であると思われます。会議の主なトピックスは下記の通りです。
